UNDER 13 SEASON

Fall 2007 Season - The Under 13 Serpents had another very successful season. They ended the fall scoring over 40 goals, with a record of 11-2-2 and Yardley-Makefield Columbus Cup Champions. The captains of the team, Josh Salzer and Wouter Van den Hooff, held the defense together with help from Jake Marks, Connor Fairman and Elliot Moschetti. Jason Banner, in goal, made numerous quality saves and combined with an intense defensive unit for five shutouts. Trupert Ortlieb and Alex Buckmann’s control of the middle of the field allowed the Serpents to set the pace of the games and provided many scoring opportunities. Alex Kastein’s transition from a defender to a scorer resulted in numerous goals and along with Kyalo Muindi, Nate Kennedy and Thomas Fakharzadeh, really improved our scoring chances with excellent crosses. The two primary recipients of the balls sent to the middle, Luis Chiarelli and Michael Maggio, did a great job finishing their opportunities. Maggio’s goal in the semifinal on a cross from Muindi was spectacular.

UNDER 11 SEASON

August 28, 2005: Kidspeace Tournament - Champions
The U-11 Serpents team got their season off to a terrific start with a 3 win, 1 loss record at the 2005 Kids Peace Tournament in Allentown, PA. The record placed them solidly in first place against excellent teams they will face during the upcoming DELCO season. They shutout a terrific passing team from Parkland 4-0, beat a tough Carbon United team 3-1, and lost their one game against a fearless, hard charging Marple Newtown team 2-5. The highlight of the weekend was a come from behind victory against Southern (6-5) after being down 1-5 at halftime. The team responded to direction from their coaches to forget about wins and losses and focus on playing the best soccer they could at all times. Overall, the team made a terrific transition to 11v11 soccer and demonstrated solid skills at all positions.
