The LMSC Special Needs Soccer Program is offered to boys and girls who have physical and / or mental limitations that prevent them from being able to play soccer with other children. Some of the players require "walkers" to get up and down the field, other players can play unassisted, but at a very slow rate due to physical or mental limitations.

The program has been around since 1992 and was created by Susan Reynolds. Under Susan's leadership, about 25 needy kids each year are able to play soccer in the fall. The players range between 7 and 14 years of age. The program is played on Saturday mornings starting on the Saturday after Labor Day weekend and running through mid-November.

After Susan retired from the program after many years, Steve Spencer took ove the program and did an excellent job for close to 10 years. Steve retired from the program in 2006 and turned the program over to Steve and Marlene Ross.
