LMSC RED DEVILS (U-12B BOYS) ARE
CO-CHAMPIONS OF DELCO LEAGUE'S TOP FLIGHT

November 8, 2015 - The U12 LMSC Red Devils had a fabulous fall season due their adaptability and their determination to improve as players. The team returned 7 players from last year, and added 6 new player (2 new to the area, 3 from other clubs, and a LMSC promoted player.) Despite all the change, the team is one cohesive unit. The team had an overall fall record of 11 wins, 6 draws, and only 3 losses. The team earned the title of Co-champions of U12 Delco Division 1 after an exciting 2-2 extra-time match, and they were champions at the Keystone Cup in Lancaster over Labor Day Weekend. Over Columbus weekend, the team was undefeated 2 wins and 1 draw, but was outpointed by a goal in the tie break in their bid to make the championship match.

Throughout the fall, the play of Jinho Park, Grisha Fast, Elijah Bloch, and Luke Vaughan on the midfield flanks lead to many dangerous goal opportunities, and each of these players has tallied at least one goal. In the holding midfield role, Fabrizio Mazzarelli and Eddie Jones have both stopped other teams in their tracks, won critical loose balls, and scored on long strikes. Zion Georges has scored countless goals and Juan Murcia has scored some big goals from the striker and attacking midfielder positions. Sam Kohl and slide tackle specialist Steven Fajardo have been stalwart defenders who can win air balls and find their midfielders to maintain possession. Bram Schwadron has the versatility to play anywhere on the field and bring a spark of intensity to the play. In front of the goal, Michael O'Gara barks out commands and dominates his box. He makes the big saves when needed including his monster penalty kick save of the first shot in the league semifinal PK shootout. The next two opposing shooters were so intimidated, they missed the frame. The team awaits the return of Nate Levinson who has been out on injury.

The Red Devils players are always prepared to step into new roles on the field. Their home workout routines with their team-issued speed ladders is now paying dividends on the field. The team has two more fall outdoor tournaments coming up before winter training and league play begin. Congrats Red Devils on your hard work and accomplishments! Keep it up!
