September 1, 2014 - The Under-8 Ginga boys traveled to Northeast Philadelphia to play in the Ross Haney Labor Day tournament. The Ginga boys opened up with a 5-0 win over Marlton SC (NJ) and finished the day with a 6-2 victory over Philadelphia SC. On Sunday, the boys defeated Fishtown AC 5-0 to advance to the championship game against Philadelphia SC.

LMSC and Philadelphia SC had played each other on Saturday and the Ginga boys were expecting a tough "re-match". After a tense first half that ended 0-0, the Ginga wasted no time, scoring right from the opening tap to give LMSC a 1-0 lead. The next twenty four minutes was a back-and-forth battle that produced some very exciting moments.

Congratulations to both teams on a great match and congratulations to the Ginga boys on their first tournament championship.
