SABERTOOTH RATS (U-13A BOYS) WIN
FIFTH STRAIGHT INDOOR STATE CUP CHAMPIONSHIP



January 25, 2014 - The LMSC Sabertooth Rats won their fifth straight indoor state cup championship, outscoring their opponents 17-0 during the tournament. Goalkeeper Sebastian Connelly recorded a shutout in all four of the Rats games.

The Rats opened up the tournament with a 4-0 win over Fusion Galaxy from York, PA (central PA). The Rats recorded another 4-0 victory in their next game which was against Capital Area Soccer Association (CASA) from Harrisburg. The team finished off bracket play with a 5-0 win over Wyoming Valley.

The championship game was against Lehigh Valley, the current outdoor state cup champions. The Rats continued their excellent defensive effort and wound up the tournament with a 4-0 win in the championship. game. The team has now won five straight indoor state cup championships, all played in different indoor venues throughout Eastern Pennsylvania.

The Sabertooth Rats have also won the Delco Soccer League's first division championship all five years of the team's existence (U-9 through U-13).
