MOTOR MOUTHS (U-9A BOYS
WIN LMSC THANKSGIVING TOURNAMENT



November 18, 2012 - The LMSC Motor Mouths (U-9A) swept through the LMSC Thanksgiving Tournament, winning all four games and capturing their fourth straight tournament championship. The Motor Mouths also finished the Delco League with a record of 9 wins 0 losses and 1 tie to earn the championship.

In the Thanksgiving Tournament, the boys won their two Saturday games, defeating FC Delco 3-1, Hockessin Delaware 7-1. They continued their winning ways on Sunday, opening with a 7-0 victory in the semifinals. The championship game would be against Real Hotspurs from Medford, New Jersey. The Motor Mouths took a 1-0 lead in the first half when Asher Laackman crossed the ball into the box and Sebastian Tis headed the ball into the net. The second half was back and forth with both teams having several chances. The Hotspurs tied the game with 10 minutes left in regulation, but Laackman got in behind the opposing team's defense with three minutes left and scored what proved to be the winning goal for the Motor Mouths.

LMSC goalie Sammy Kao allowed only three goals in the tournament.
