November 28, 2011 - Congratulations to the LMSC Shake N Bake for winning the Under 13 Division Three Delco League championship.

The Shake N Bake defeated Colonial ROX 3-2 (OT) in this year's Under 13 Div 3 championship game – played under the lights at Bonner High School in front of a large crowd.  After Shake N Bake built an early 2-0 lead over the ROX’s, the ROX’s battled back to tie the score by end of the first half.  Shake N Bake  didn’t give up and played a tough 2ndhalf with both teams giving it their all – but score remained tied at the end of regulation.  

The game went to overtime, where they would play two 10 minute periods (no Golden Goal). The Shake N Bake played their strongest soccer of the game in the overtime generating several offensive drives – but just couldn’t get the goal.  Nineteen minutes and 58 seconds into overtime they made one final run with a deep ball into the corner, followed by a beautiful cross that was headed in for the winning goal!!! While it was truly a team effort by all players - Shake N Bake Goalkeeper Sebastian Jenkins deserve special mention as he made many great saves throughout the game.  

The Shake N Bake defeated the Westmont Lazers 2-1 in the semifinals to advance to the championship game.  

This was a great team accomplishment after a tough finish in 2010! Last year, Shake N Bake finished in 1st Place in Delco Div 4, but had a tough loss to Westmont Lasers in semifinals last year. Despite that loss they moved up to Division 3 in 2011 and playing Westmont again in Semis – the whole team made a outstanding effort with a lot of hustle and determination to become Div 3 Champs in 2011.
