DYNAMITE WIN PAGS LEAGUE AND WELSH CUP

November 20, 2011 - The LMSC Dynamite Under-12 girls B team completed an undefeated Fall season in all competitions.  The team won 7 games and tied 1, finishing in first place to capture the Fall 2011 PAGS U12, Division 10 championship.   The team also played a "friendly, championship" game against the 2nd place Methacton Destroyers and confirmed the championship with an exciting 1-0 win.

The team are also Champions of the 2011 Welsh Cup, U-12 Silver Division.

The team started the Fall 2011 season with a lot of unknowns including 6 girls playing travel soccer for the first time, moving from 8v8 to 11v11 competition and a complete change in goalkeepers.   Given these unknowns, the team's objectives were to build technical skills and tactical awareness, play competitive soccer, and have fun.   From the first game, the Dynamite controlled play.  In all competitions the Dynamite outscored opponents 34-3.   They were led by a balanced scoring attack, with 11 different girls recording goals, an aggressive midfield that delivered scoring opportunities while limiting opponent build up, and stifling defending.   The team recorded 9 shutouts over 12 games (75%) in all competitions.
