November 13, 2011 - This past weekend, the LMSC Panthers attended the Columbia Fall College Showcase Classic and faced the Virginia SC Heat in their first game on Saturday morning. The Panthers won the game 2-1 with an own goal and a fine solo effort and finish from Chris Martin. The second game on Saturday saw a fiercely contesting 0-0 tie against Fusion FC Redland Fire. Sunday morning brought about a 'win or go home' game match-up vs. the Baltimore Bays.

After some impressive play and tremendous efforts from the Panthers, goals from Teddy Foley and Sam Stein saw the Panthers to a well-earned 2-0 victory and a place in the Championship game vs. FC Delco.

The Championship game had tremendous significance to many on the field for the Panthers, and the entire team showed terrific spirit, style and composure to control most of the game. A goal from Chris Martin in the second half saw the Panthers to a memorable victory and a long weekend had the perfect conclusion as the Panthers were named tournament Champions!
