RAT PACK WIN THE YMS COLUMBUS DAY TOURNAMENT



October 12, 2008 - Congratulations to the LMSC Rat Pack on winning the YMS Columbus Cup, considered one of the toughest Columbus Day Weekend tournaments in the country. This is the second consecutive year that the Rat Pack has won this tournament.

In bracket play, the Rat Pack defeated the Olney Roadrunners from Maryland, 3-0 and the Marlton Lightning from New Jersey, 3-0. In the semifinals, the Rat Pack defeated Panthers Revolution from Bucks County. This put the Rat Pack into the championship game against the Marlboro Warriors from New Jersey. The team earned their fourth shutout in as many games as they won 5-0.

Also competing in the 12 team tournament were West Chester (PA), Manhattan Kickers (New York), SSA Stingrays (PA), Greater Chester Valley (PA), V/E (PA), Tredyffrin-Easttown (PA) and Howell United (NJ).
