LMSC will be again offer their high level five day travel team soccer camp this summer. The camp will be open only to Travel Team Players who will be playing Under 8 through Under 12 in the fall.  The camp will be a very high level camp designed to further advance the skills of travel team level players.  Intramural players and other non-travel team players will NOT be accepted.

The five day camp will run from Sunday, June 27 through Thursday, July 1.  Camp will run from 5:00 - 8:00 PM each day.  The camp will again be held at Welsh Valley Middle School, located on Hagy’s Ford Road in Penn Valley.

The camp will be run by the LMSC Travel Team Camp staff.  All of our staff will have a very high level of soccer experience and coaching.  The camp staff will include:

• Grant Myers: Former semiprofessional player, current assistant coach at Marple Newtown High School, current head coach of the LMSC Rat Pack, 2010 State Cup Finalists, 2009 State Champions, and assistant coach for the U-15 FC Delco Boys team (2009 and 2010 State Champions).  Grant is the LMSC Travel Team Coordinator.
  
  
• Matt Cox: Former professional player in Malaysia, Holland, Switzerland and Jamaica.  Matt is the assistant coach at Bayard Rustin High School in West Chester. Matt is the current head coach for the U-9 Quick Boys (2010 EPYSA State Cup quarter-finalists) and the assistant coach for the U-17 Mustangs (2010 Indoor State Champions).
  
  
• Will Nord: Head coach for Rosemont College Men’s Varsity Team as well as the LMSC Denali (2009 State Finalists). A former player in LMSC where his team won two state championships, Will has coached in the club for nine years.  In 2006, Will also led his FC Delco U-17 boys team to a third place finish at nationals.  Before coaching at the college level, Will was a high school coach for six years.
  
  
• Rasheed Epps: Assistant coach for Rosemont College Men's Varsity team and head coach for our U-9A girls travel team. Rasheed earned all league honors in high school and played for the Millersville University varsity. Rasheed has been a travel team coach in LMSC for six years.
  
  
• Biff Sturla: President, LMSC, 28 year coaching veteran at LMSC.  Head coach for Harriton High School Boys Varsity.  2006 EPYSA Coach of the Year and NSCAA Regional Coach of the Year. 1999 Philadelphia Inquirer Coach Of The Year. Head Coach for the LMSC Sabertooth Rats (2010 Under 9 Boys Indoor and Outdoor State Champions) and the Under 15 FC Delco Cannibals (2009 and 2010 Boys State Champions).

The cost for the five day camp is $150.  All players will need to bring a soccer ball to the camp.

Again, this camp is ONLY for Travel Team Players.

Each year, LMSC runs the Under 8 Develomental Academy for our top players who will be eligible to tryout for the travel team program the following year. Our Pre-Under 8 Training Program is geared toward players who will be eligible to tryout for the Under 8 Program the following year. This training program is offered several times a year and is open to all players who will be eligible for the Under 8 Academy the following year.

For 2010, the Pre-Under 8 Training Program will be open ONLY to players born between August 1, 2003 and July 31, 2004, no exceptions.

This Summer Training Program will run for six consecutive Sundays, July 11, 18, 25 and August 1, 8, 15. The Girls Pre-Under 8s will train from 3:30 - 4:45, the boys Pre-Under 8s will train from 4:45 - 6:00 PM.

This program will give our younger players a chance to work with our travel team coaching staff and see if they enjoy playing in the more advanced environment offered by the travel team program. There will also be a Fall training program and a Winter training program offered.
