Each year, LMSC honors two travel team coaches and one intramural coach for outstanding contributions to the club as well as overall success in adhering to the club philosophy of "providing each child with a fun filled experience in a soccer environment."


Our Girls Travel Team Coach Of The Year Award goes to Rasheed Epps. Rasheed is the head coach for our Under 9A girls travel team, the LMSC Herricanes. Under Rasheed's leadership, the Herricanes had a great first season of travel team soccer, going 6-3. Rasheed is also very active in LMSC coaching the Under 8 Girls Developmental Program, coaching in the Pre Under 8 Training Program, the LMSC Summer Soccer Program and many other training programs offered by LMSC. Rasheed is also the assistant coach for the Rosemont College Men's Varsity team. He has been coaching in LMSC since 2003. Rasheed has played for the Millersville University Men's Varsity, the Montco Azzuri Men's team (1998 regional semifinalists) and the PA Rush Over 30 Men's Team (2008 regional semifinalists). LMSC would like to thank Rasheed for his many years of coaching in the club by honoring him as the 2010 LMSC Girls Travel Team Coach Of The Year.



Our Boys Travel Team Coach Of The Year Award goes to Mike Falsetta. Mike is the head coach for both the LMSC Netrippers (U-11C team) and the LMSC Shake N Bake (U-12B team). Under Mike's leadership, the Netrippers were crowned Delco Soccer League Under 11 Division 3 champions this year, defeating Coventry 2-0 in the semifinals and defeating Nether Providence, 2-1 in the league championship game. Mike's other team, the LMSC Shake N Bake, also reached the Delco League playoffs. Shake N Bake played in the Delco Soccer League's Under 12 Division 4 and finished in first place in the regular season. They dropped a tough 1-0 decision to West-Mont in the semifinals. Mike also is on the coaching staff at the Penn Charter School. Before that, Mike coached for eight years at Roman Catholic. The Director's at LMSC would like to congratulate Mike on an excellent season with both of his teams by honoring him as the 2010 LMSC Boys Travel Team Coach Of The Year.



Our Intramural Coach Of The Year Award goes to Rachel Madel. Rachel is one of our Program Directors for our 4 and 5 year old programs, along with Michael Mark and Matt Schwartz. Rachel is in charge of making sure that our youngest players get off to a good start in their soccer careers. Each weekend during the fall, Rachel spends many hours at Gladwyne Playground, helping our youngest players learn the basic skills of soccer and, most importantly, making sure that the players are having a fun filled time, learning to love the game. Rachel also helps to run the youngest divisions in the Spring Intramural Program on Sundays at Penn Wynne Playground. She also is a member of our field crew, helping to line fields, set up goals, etc. Rachel has been working at LMSC for about six years now. We would like to thank her for her many years of excellent work by honoring her as the 2010 LMSC Intramural Coach Of The Year.
